Students Fill State Post

January 16, 2018

Four students from Springfield Public Schools have been selected as ambassadors for Governor Charlie Baker’s community service program Project 351.

They are:

Jay-Rielisse Reyes Gomez from Van Sickle Academy

Frank Gentile from Zanetti

Quana Carter from the Springfield Conservatory of the Arts.

Student ambassadors were nominated and selected for an exemplary ethic of service, a potential for leadership, and by reflecting the values of compassion, commitment, humility and kindness. As part of Project 351’s Class of 2018, Springfield’s ambassadors will gather with over 300 middle school students from the Commonwealth’s 351 cities to participate in year-round special community service programs. The student ambassadors will also be invited to take advantage of several resources and service opportunities, participate in team-building activities, leadership skills development, and issues awareness to increase knowledge, build empathy, and compel commitment.
