 Immediate Openings for Half-Day AM & PM Sessions Available at Margaret Ells School 
The Springfield Public Schools Pre-School Program is an integrated program for children between ages 3-5 years old with or without disabilities. Children with disabilities are enrolled through the special education process as described in Massachusetts Special Education Regulations (603 CMR 28.00) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 2005. Children without disabilities are enrolled through an application process which is available on the child's 3rd birthday.

The Pre-School Application Process:

STEP 1 - Complete a Pre-School Application at the PACE Center

Your child's name will be added to the Pre-School waiting list

STEP 2 - Wait to be contacted by the PACE Center

Once space in our program becomes available, the PACE Center will contact you by phone.

STEP 3 - Register your child at the PACE Center

Once your child is accepted into a Pre-School Program, a parent or legal guardian must register the child at the PACE Center.

 You must bring your child's Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, and 3 proofs of Address (Dated within 60 Days).

Transportation is provided ONLY for children who qualify for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Pre-School Hours:

AM Session - 8:50 AM to 11:20 AM

PM Session - 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Full-Day Session - 8:50 AM to 2:30 PM
