Student Enrollment Requirements for Springfield Public Schools

There are two ways to enroll your child for K – 12 in the Springfield Public Schools. 

1)  Start the process online and schedule an appointment at the PACE Center at 91 School St to complete enrollment.  This process can be accessed using the following link:

Online Pre-registration English 2019-2020

Online Pre-registration Spanish 2019-2020

2)  Directly visit the PACE Center with the following documents:

§  Birth certificate (long form that lists parent's names)

§  Immunization and physical records

§  Court /legal guardianship/ custody documents if applicable

§  3 Proofs of address including 1 from EACH category below:

o  Picture ID: valid driver’s license, Mass ID, passport

o  Lease, mortgage statement with record of most recent payment, or legal affidavit from landlord affirming tenancy 

o  Utility bill in your name received within the past 60 days

§  Previous school records include:

o   Attendance records

o   School sign out/transfer with marks to date

o   Academic transcript/most recent report card

o   SpEd records and copy of Individual Education Plan (IEP), if applicable

o   Disciplinary records/reports if applicable

Enrollment Age Requirements:

The School Committee has adopted the following age requirements for our public schools:

§  5 years old by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten
