Springfield College’s Department of Physical Education and Health Education partnered with SPS in the CATCH My Breath e-cigarette prevention educator training program. This professional development session was intended to prepare students and educators to implement the CATCH My Breath curriculum in our schools.
CVS Health Foundation awarded a grant to Springfield College to deliver this anti-vaping educator training. The grant aims to reduce youth e-cigarette use with a “train-the-trainer” model.
As part of the grant, each school was asked to identify two students who are emerging leaders to help extend the anti-vaping campaign beyond the unit. We had 20 students attend the session where they participated in the development of student-driven anti-vaping projects to implement within their schools.
