To take part in the Springfield Public Schools 2025-26 School Selection Process for grades 6 and 9, please see below:

Important Terms and Dates

SPS General Enrollment, January 13, 2025– This is the enrollment period for students entering the following grades for the 25-26 school year:

-Preschool

-Kindergarten

-6^th Grade

-9^th Grade

SPS School Selection Process, January 13 to February 14, 2025 – This is the period when students entering sixth and ninth grade (or those wishing to attend a magnet school) make their selection for a Springfield Public Schools middle or high school. Those participating in this process must be a current SPS student or have enrolled in SPS during the General Enrollment period. Enrolling will generate a student ID#, which is needed to participate in this process.

Charter, Parochial, and Private School Student Transfers

Attention! Charter, Parochial, and Private School Students Transferring to Springfield Public Schools

Students currently attending a charter, parochial, or private school in Springfield are not registered as Springfield Public School students and, therefore, must enroll with SPS to be assigned to a Springfield Public School for the 2025-2026 school year.
